Clark Kent; Epilogue

current mood: accomplished

Clark returned to his job as a reporter for the Daily Planet. Two months after leaving Fandom, he and Lois Lane were married. Lana, Rose, Aziraphale, Wilson, the Doctor, the Arms Staff (including Ranma and Pheobe), and Lana's version of Martha Kent, were all invited.

Six months after leaving Fandom, Clark won acclaim for a book he co-wrote with Lois, with photographs by Jimmy Olsen entitled "A Friend: Conversations with the Man of Steel".

One Month after that he published a novel about Fandom that became a cult favorite among Science Fiction and Fantasy Fans. He dedicated it to Lana Lang saying, "Thanks for the idea". He sent her a free copy of course with the dedication handwritten.

DC Comics has approached him about a comic book series based on it.

Lex Luthor lost his last appeal due in large part to the testimony of Superman, who continued to save the world on a regular basis. But always made it home in time to read his son a story before bed. Yay super-speed.

And thus, they lived Happily, Ever, After.

From the Arms, to the Causeway. The Scenic Route

March 9th, 2007 (06:20 pm)

After a surprise going away party given by the staff, Clark climbed into a boat that Ernest had procured, to go to the causeway and head back to Metropolis. He'd said his goodbyes for the most part. And now it was time to leave. Almost.

"Ernest why don't you take the boat once around town?" he suggested. "Just one last look around."

"You got it Mr. Kent." Ernest agreed readily. Clark had come to know Ernest's luck well enough to know that the boat would hold together until Ernest was the only occupant.

ooc: Open. Last Chance to interact with Clark Kent, or say goodbye.

Arms Hotel, Thursday Night

March 8th, 2007 (09:19 pm)

It was about 10 when Clark returned to Fandom. He was tired, so he hardly paused for thought when he overheard the receptionist chastise Ernest.

"Oh Ernest honestly, it's like you've never worn a dress before!"

He took the elevator up to his room and looked at the mess of half packed suitcases. It finally hit him that he was really leaving. Somehow it hadn't truly occurred to him just how much he'd enjoyed living here.

What he didn't know, was that the staff were planning a surprise going away party for him tomorrow.

Saigo De La Mancha, Epilogue

March 5th, 2007 (11:55 pm)

Though Saigo and his flock became regular visitors to the Kent Farm, they never returned to Fandom. Saigo fathered several Ducklings, all of which survived to adult hood and grew up hearing their father's stories. They passed those stories on to their own offspring.

Over the course of several Generations, his tales became a family legend, of an island where anything can, and often does happen.

Even a Duck, becoming friends with a Human.

Clark liked Rose. He liked quite a bit. More than he liked most people. But he loved Lois.

current mood: sweet sorrow

Ever since he’d distracted the Lion from the flock, the ducks had been hounding him to tell them tales of his bravery, and what he’d discovered from living amongst the humans.

It felt good being accepted by his own kind again. Maybe it was because they were Canadian, but they seemed nicer and more open minded than the American ducks. And not only that but he’d been getting along quite well with one of the females.

//Are you sure?// the elder asked. //If we make you part of our flock, you have to understand that we'll be leaving here. Soon. The seasons progress and we must return home.//

Saigo swallowed. The thought of leaving Fandom was a hard one. But deep inside, he knew, it was time.

//I am sure.//

//Then we shall deliberate.//

His intended mate stood by his side as the rest of the flock swam out to the center of the pond to discuss it.

ooc: yes, Saigo is eloping.

Clark's Suite at the Arms Hotel, Tuesday Night

February 27th, 2007 (10:04 pm)

“Hello Ma.” Clark said. “You’ll never guess what happened a few weeks ago.”

“Oh?” Martha asked. “Given the events you’ve told me about before, I’d say this one was rather unusual?”

“I’m working on getting pictures,” Clark said. “But I spent a weekend as a three, maybe four year old child.”

Martha gasped. “How on Earth did that happen?”

“No one’s sure, but-“

“Please send me pictures.” Martha beamed. “You were adorable as a child. Did you get into any trouble?”

“No,” Clark said. “I wound up telling
several people
that I was
Superman
, but most of them wouldn’t know what that means.”

Clark finished his call to his mother and re-checked the preparations. Everything seemed set for dinner, all he needed now was his guest.

ooc: for Rose
